It is absolutely legal to gift an animal and then they have it processed though. I gave them this exact example in my email and they responded that this situation, of the person receiving the meat paying for the butchering, to the person that harvested the animal, is illegal.Sep 19, 2015
There is a simple form to fill out stating you are donating your deer. Hunters for the Hungry will be billed for the processing costs. The meat will then be given to a local feeding program so that it can be distributed to people in need.
