How to Build Structures

All structures can only be built using the PCC - and item you can fabricate at any terminal connected to the Chiral Network. As you expand your adventure from the Eastern Region to the Central Region, you’ll gain more structures to build from your PCC, and even unlock a level 2 PCC capable of more advanced structures.

How to Upgrade Structures

Once a structure has been built, you can interact with them by holding square - or you can view structure options - including upgrading - by holding the option button. When viewing a structure’s settings, you’ll have the option to dismantle, upgrade, and customize.

Donating Cargo to other players is one of the fastest ways to get likes because it helps other players directly. Any items that you have in your inventory can be added to a Share Locker at any terminal and can then be accessed by the Death Stranding community.

Donate weapons and equipment to others to help them on their way

At the delivery terminal simply open the share locker and then choose to donate weapons & equipment. If you offer items to the share locker, it’s likely that the player who uses the items will give you likes. As well as giving players other items you can also take items from the Share Locker.

Once you’ve unlocked a fancy Death Stranding hologram to use on your structures, progress the main story until the wizards at Bridges offer Sam the PCC, a tool that lets you build things like postboxes and bridges. The game will give you a handy tutorial for each new structure as you get it but don't really go into much more detail.

How to add music to structures in Death Stranding

You can't have both music playing and a hologram on a structure, so choose wisely as to which you’d like other players to experience once they come across your souped-up gilded generator. Maybe you want some Bring Me The Horizon to greet the player instead of a concerned Guillermo Del Toro? That part is up to you.

To upgrade a structure, approach it and hold down Options to access the structure menu.

Why upgrade structures?

Not every structure needs to be upgraded. Things that you built out of necessity that you’ve only ever used once probably aren’t worth your time or resources.
