Apr 18, 2017 · Donate now to feed a hungry child! 3. Give a child water that won’t make her sick. Fatalities have decreased over the years, but contaminated water still accounts for hundreds of thousands of deaths annually. And especially now after a major drought in our African Kinship Projects, dehydration is also a significant concern.
You can donate online for support child in need. You can also join our Facebook page and donate your time and money. In Ukraine, there are 70,000 orphans and only 6,000 of them are adopted.
You can help such children by sponsoring their food supplies like groceries and eatables or making donating for operation, medications, artificial limbs, physical aids, etc. By donating to orphans' education, you can offer them a way out of the neglect, abuse, and exploitation they face when left alone on the streets.

Pray diligently for orphans. Their needs are multiple... pra y that families step up to adopt them, that their caretakers are kind and committed. Pray for their health, that their physical needs are met, that they are protected emotionally and psychologically. Pray that their governments keep foreign adoptions open.
If you cannot adopt, you can still love an orphan and make a difference in his or her life. Below are five ways you can get involved. 1. Seek them out. Do not allow yourself to forget the orphans. My guess is that very few people feel “called” to action the first few times they hear about or see orphans.
Adoption is an arduous and stressful process. Families who are in the throes of an adoption could use all kinds of support. You can leave encouraging comments on their adoption blog, blog about them on your own blog, help them raise funds, or offer to write or edit letters and documents needed for the adoption process.
Kinship Leaders worldwide actively rescue children from abusive situations, forced labor, and more. They care for these otherwise forgotten children in the same way you would care for your own!
Every Kinship Project is a church first. And most of the new children have never heard God’s word or encountered His love and kindness. Until donors like you made it possible!
For many of the children joining a Kinship Home family, school was an unattainable dream . An opportunity they could never afford. But generous philanthropists like yourself are making that dream a reality! However, there are many more children waiting for this chance.
Serve a family who is fostering/adopted – do their laundry, bring them dinner, pick up their groceries, take kids to appts, etc. Organize a “drive”- socks, backpacks, toys, school aupplies, toys, books, etc. for foster kids. Backpacks and suitcases are HUGE for foster kids.
There are approximately 400,000 children now in foster care. Approximately 100,000 foster children are eligible for adoption, but nearly 32% of these children will wait over three years in foster care before being adopted. This is a huge problem in our country, but Skookum Kids wants to help be a part of the solution.
Drive Foster Kids to their Appointments – Foster kids need a community of loving adults that can surround them in a variety of circumstances. A car ride is a great place to show that you care. They often need rides to doctor appointments, visits to a new family or their birth family.
Do emergency foster care. Emergency foster care is a way to temporarily provide care for a child for a short amount of time – often for 24 hours or up until 3 days.
Your prayers can make a difference and others might be inspired to help through your dedication. You can see that there ways to become involved so that your lives, and more importantly, children’s lives can be changed forever. I hope you are inspired to do two things.
