To give a Berry to Pokémon: Visit a Gym controlled by your team. You’ll see that each Pokémon has a motivation meter. Touch a Pokémon you would like to give a Berry. Touch the Berry to give it to the Pokémon. With each Berry, the Pokémon’s motivation meter will increase.

Gyms are team-based objectives that reward coins when your Pokémon is in them. They can hold up to six Pokémon at once, and the Pokémon must belong to trainers of whatever team currently controls the gym. (The color of the gym corresponds to the color of the three teams: red for Valor, blue for Mystic, and yellow for Instinct.)
If your Pokémon is in a gym, you can grab up to 50 coins per day. Your Pokémon will earn six coins per hour its in a gym, but you’ll only see those coins once your Pokémon gets defeated and returns home.
Motivation decreases over time and correlates to the placed Pokémon’s CP (Combat Power). If you put a 2,500 Zangoose in the gym, it will have a cap of 2,500 Motivation. Immediately after being placed, the Pokémon will not have its maximum Motivation — it’ll start a smidgen lower.
You can feed it various berries to help increase its desire to defend the gym. Golden Razz Berries automatically restore Motivation to max.
The best Pokémon for gyms are ones with high defense. This means Blissey and Snorlax are some of the best tanks to plop in there, but you also don’t want a slew of normal-type Pokémon in one gym. Mix it up so it makes it harder for other trainers to defeat you and your allies quickly.
Gyms also host PokéStops. You can click a PokéStop icon when you tap the gym to spin the emblem at the top. You get a reward bonus if the gym matches your team when you spin it, too. Spinning a gym PokéStop also rewards a free raid pass every day (if you don’t have one already).
Gyms are points of interest where trainers can battle against other trainers in order to control the gym for their team. Each gym can have six Pokemon assigned to defend it and there can only be one of any kind of Pokemon in the gym -- for example, you won't find a gym made of all Dragonites and Snorlax.
When you approach a gym to battle, tap it and it will take you into the gym and you can see all the Pokemon already in the gym ready to defend it. You will need to choose six Pokemon to take into battle and will only face one of any kind of Pokemon.
The more you use a particular gym, the more you will be recognized as being part of the gym. Whether you are defending it, giving treats to occupying Pokemon, or even constantly attacking it, you can now earn yourself a Gym Badge.
The first step, of course, is to find your team's gym. Team Instinct, Mystic, and Valor are all represented by a specific color: yellow, blue, and red, respectively.
Once you get to the nearest gym that your team owns, you're probably going to want to join it right away. But you can't.
Once a spot opens up, you will see a new icon in the bottom left corner of the screen. It looks like the Pokémon symbol with a plus (+) sign next to it.

As of this writing, the only way to earn Coins for free is by leaving your Pokemon to defend your team's gyms. Start by tapping on a gym that's the same colour as your team.
The easier (and more expensive) way to get PokeCoins is by purchasing them with real money. Prices may vary...

Once Trainer receives the Gift from PokéStop, they can send it to their friends. To do so, Trainer needs to enter Friend detail page and tap on the Gift button below their avatar display.
Once Trainer receives the Gift from their friend, they will receive Notification on the top of the screen which can be also viewed in the in-game Notification Tab. On the Friends list, there is also displayed which Friend has sent a Gift if it was not opened yet.
Sponsored Gifts are different type of Gifts that cannot be sent to friends but instead they can be opened by a Trainer who received them from PokéStops, Gyms or after winning a raid.
Stickers are consumable collectables in game, that can be used to decorate postcard of the Gift that is being sent to friend. Trainer can stack up to 25 of each kind of sticker and similarly to Gifts, Stickers do not use space in Item Bag.
In order to obtain 7-km Egg from the received gift, Trainer needs space in their eggs collection, exactly like in case of obtaining eggs from Photo Discs.
