In order to investigate further, The Tengu suggests that he will have to ask the Purists directly, at their stronghold on Ren Bo. Shanao and Sojobo reminisce about past adventures before setting sail, with a plan for Shanao to fly up to the skies once the boat is close enough in order to catch the purists unaware.

The Tengu, true names Sojobo and Shanao (known as Sojobo (contracts) on Waiko ), is an adventurer found in a player-owned port. Sojobo is a Tengu mask that the faceless sky orphan Shanao is wearing. Together, they fight injustice throughout the Wushanko Isles .
If Benkei succeeded, anarchy could fall over Wushanko in danger to the lives of any non-human. The Tengu pledges to stop Benkei before departing.
He had aided Obanak's assault on Ai Jei in exchange for weapons, and he raised the sky orphan spirits so he could discover the location of the sky orphan's most sacred temple. It is thought that Benkei's intentions are to raise an army to oppose the reign of the seasingers within Wushanko.
The voyage will only be offered after The Tengu's three clue voyages have been completed, and only when the port focus is set to The Shield. When the voyage is offered, the player should speak to The Tengu upstairs in Surula 's bar about clue voyages and offer a donation of chimes.

The numbers beside the story progress icon refer to the fact that these are the 13th, 14th, 15th, and 16th storylines available (each of the twelve original adventurers has their own storyline) and are encountered in ascending order.
By having adventurers in your Player-owned port, up to six special voyages are available each day. One adventurer is unlocked during the tutorial; the other adventurers by a special voyage that is available after reaching level 90 in that adventurer's corresponding skill. Once unlocked, adventurers may appear in the port at the beginning ...
Special Joint Voyages are available when specific pairs of adventurers are in the port. Adventurers that can join together for joint voyages are: Final story missions become available when the storyline for certain adventurers have been completed and two of the three adventures are in the port.
Joint voyages are only available when certain pairs of adventurers are in port at the same time. Accepting a special joint voyage will remove all remaining voyages for both adventurers.
Resource voyages: These missions provide either building materials or trade goods as a reward. The type of trade good depends on the adventurer, and the amount is increased when the player unlocks more areas. The Arc and Skull areas will not provide any Trade goods.
Special voyages cannot be individually rerolled, but adventurer rerolls can generate a new set of visiting adventurers with their own voyages. To avoid wasting any special voyages, ensure any adventurers already in port have set sail before activating the reroll.

6 of the 12 Adventurers currently have Clue Voyages. Each of those 6 have three "stages" to their clue voyage, where you send them out to specific islands in search of something. If they find it, you unlock the next voyage. If they don't, you'll need to repeat said voyage until they do.
After you complete all their clue voyages you can get special reward voyages. For example, after completing all three of the Tengu's clue voyages you can send him on a voyage for a Gift of Gu which gives you the chance at a piece of the Gu outfit.
The Exile: Gives a Worldbearer Ring (1). Using it teleports you to a small island in Wushanko (The Faraway Place where Things are Kept) that has a resource Dungeon on it. Inside you can choose between a Dungeoneering chest, with a reward in it related to DG, or a Ports chest, with rewards in it related to ports.
Clue Voyages are special voyage unlocks that give various rewards. I personally find them more helpful towards the end of my Ports than I would early. Story voyages are a lot more important for rewards and Portscore though.
Distinct seperation between interfaces, helps makes the game look less overwhelming at first glance. The key with this is to make the game look less overwhelming at a first glance , whilst additionaly making it easier to manouver as new users play and learn the game.
