We have supported 2.4 billion meals to date, including 1.2 billion pounds of food from Walmart facilities (see Donating unsold food to the charitable system, pg. 76), including Walmart's FY2017 donation of more than 600 million pounds of food.

While the Walton Family Foundation is run directly and funded by members of the family of Walmart founder Sam Walton, the Walmart Foundation is controlled and funded by the corporation. The Foundation disbursed over $120 million in 2018, 90% of which was distributed by thousands of Walmart stores across the world.
