Every eligible Muslim should provide one share of Qurbani and parents should provide a share in the name of their children. One small animal such as a goat or sheep is equivalent to one Qurbani share, while a larger animal, such as a cow or camel, is equal to seven shares and can be split between seven individuals.

1. Qurbani/Udhiyah is the tradition of sharing meat with your family and with the poor at the end of the Hajj season, at Eid al-Adha. Udhiyah is an Arabic word and Qurbani is an Urdu/Persian word derived from Arabic. They both connote the meaning of sacrifice, or an act done for the pleasure of Allah (SWT).
For your Qurbani to be accepted, it must be performed between the first and fourth days of Eid al-Adha.
Fidyah (Arabic: الفدية) and Kaffara (Arabic: كفارة) are religious donations made in Islam when a fast (notably in Ramadan) is missed or broken. The donations can be of food, or money, and it is used to feed those in need. They are mentioned in the Qur'an. Some organizations have online Fidyah and Kaffara options.
