Dec 28, 2021 · Does patreon connect to your bank account? Patreon can only transfer payouts to a checking account. We cannot payout to a savings account or a card-only account backing a pre-paid credit/debit card. If your payout fails, we suggest calling your bank to ensure that your account information, including address, is up to date before reattempting.
Patron = Card Holder Patrons are the keepers of the cash, the power people with the credit/debit cards. A patron will kick-off the chain of events by typing in credit/debit card info, or syncing a payment account, like PayPal. Without a patron’s information, we can’t kick off the payment cycle. Patreon = Merchant
When you withdraw your balance on Patreon, it typically takes 1-3 business days to reach your PayPal or bank account. Please note that you can only pay out once every 24 hours. If you try to pay out again within this timeframe, a notification will let you know the exact time and date that you can next payout.
Patreon will refund our portion of the purchase (the Patreon fee, any credit card fees, etc) to the owner of the stolen credit card. The creator is obligated for their portion as well, returning it to the rightful card holder. To be clear: that money was stolen and …
What will the direct debit be listed as on my bank statement? When reviewing your statement, debited membership payments will be listed as “Patreon Membership.” “PPRO Financial Limited” will be listed as the beneficiary.
Credit and debit card transactions on Patreon are currently accepted in our supported currencies. If you're viewing the site in one of these supported checkout currencies, the entire checkout process will be in that currency.
Behind the scenes, Patreon has also verified the card with the Card Networks and Issuing Bank, making sure it's a valid card but doesn't charge it. In a monthly payments model*, a new patron is charged their pledge amount on the first of the following month.Mar 1, 2019

Patrons can add their credit cards to their account or during checkout. We process payment to the card on file. The funds are then sent to your creator balance. If funds are not available on the card or the card has expired, the patron's payment will decline until they add a new payment method.
Do I need a credit card to use PayPal with Patreon? You can link a credit card during the Patreon checkout process. You can also use a bank account as your funding source; however, you'll need to add it directly to your PayPal wallet.
Only patrons of creators charging their patrons upfront, will have immediate charges. If you're unsure if your creator charges upfront, you can review your Billing History page - if you have a charge date that matches the "Supported Period" it indicates that your creator bills patrons upfront.
If you have a monthly charge upfront membership, this credit is the amount you have already paid the creator for the current month. If you rejoin or upgrade, we credit you the amount you originally paid the creator at checkout.
You pay to start your membership and unlock access to the creator's Patreon community and past and future patron-only posts for that month. Your membership renews on the first of each month and you are charged in full at that time. Your membership will auto-renew until canceled.
You will need a bank account to get paid. We do use three very popular payment services to get the money to you, but you must have a bank account to receive the money. The different services may not work in your country, or you may have heard that you can get a payout via a credit or debit card rather than a bank.

These are very different and, yet, are two sides of the same coin. A chargeback is a dispute, filed by the cardholder with the card company or banking institution. Fraud is when a stolen card is used for a purchase. Patreon will respond to chargebacks for you.
Patreon provides a platform that allows content creators to earn a sustainable income. Each separate creator has their own approach to reward delivery/fulfillment, meeting goals, and how they interact with their community as a whole. Patreon will never make the choice to initiate a refund on the behalf of creators.
It can be blocked because it looks like the cardholder is in a different country (from where the card is issued) or because it looks as if the card has been used for too many suspicious activities recently. Our Trust and Safety team investigates accounts that are reported to check for fraud.
Failing that, they deserve an honest statement about why a given reward is late along with appropriate apologies. Patreon will not issue refunds to dissatisfied patrons, but it’s important to note that they do contact us. They do, also, take to social media to share their grievances.
Sometimes fraud refunds can put your account into the negative. We do our best to avoid this situation, but it is a reality of doing business on the internet where identities and data are fluid.
So just for some context I have been using Patreon as a supporter for a 2-3 years and this is the first time I have had payment issues. At the beginning of August all my memberships declined even though my card was valid.
Hi I made a Patreon last night. I now have 85 dollars in my Patreon. I added a card too my settings today and it says my current account balance is 0 even though I have 85 dollars from the people who bought my Patreon. Can someone please help explain this too me lol
hello! does anyone knows if there is a 3rd party app for patreon for android? currently using the official Patreon app, if I try to scroll back to the first posts on its patreon page, at some point surely the app refreshes and I have to scroll back again and again. quite an annoying thing.
I see the merch option comes with an extra 3% fee across the board. I don't know how successful our merch program would be so I'd like to give it a try but would want to be able to cancel if merch isn't working out well enough.

Hi guys! I recently made a change to charge up front but I mail physical rewards every month. Does anyone have experience on how you keep track of those who were charged up front and those that are charged monthly (using the old system?) Thanks
Seriously, 300 patrons getting declined cant be pure coincidance. There has to be something in the system that gets declined often or something. To put it in perspective, I had more people decline this month, than existed in the beginning of last month.
I want it removed. It's a $7 dollar pledge and I went through all the steps to remove it. It said it would be cancelled come August 1st.
I support a campaign that includes occasional mailed rewards. I recently updated my address in said pledge and in my account profile. I know everything went through on my end. I am wondering if I should message the creator to let them know as well? I have extreme anxiety so I feel very nervous about this.
