Donating items To donate an item, place the item in your hotbar and then have your character hold the item. Then, stand before the display and place the item.
Data Discs can be traded at the Research Center Exchange for various items: Research Notes, data chips, assembly diagrams. Data Discs can be traded to the Church Store for unique farming items. Harbor Trade Station also offers several assembly diagrams to exchange for Data Discs.
The Research Center is the local research facility where the scientists Merlin and Petra work to develop technologies using relics from the past. The building is located just north of the Central Plaza, on the East side of town. You can typically find Merlin and Petra here during the day.

Small Engines can be rarely found by mining in Abandoned Ruins #1. Small Engines can also be obtained in the Sewage Plant by defeating the Chemical Dropout boss on Level 1, or randomly found in treasure chests on any level of the Sewage Plant. One Small Engine is rewarded for finishing The Cave On Amber Island mission.
The Relic Pieces Exchange is a trading board located in the Museum, used by the people of Portia to trade pieces of relics. Successfully completing a trade with an NPC earns relationship points with that NPC, as well as the relic pieces that the NPC had to offer.
Fish can be used for cooking food with the Cooking Set or Ack, gifted to other characters, sold for Gols to shops, or donated to the Portia Museum's aquarium on the second floor.
