To continue assisting families in our community, the Food Pantry accepts donations of canned vegetables, soups, fruits and tuna, as well as macaroni and cheese, spaghetti sauce, peanut butter and jelly, and toilet paper. All donations are appreciated and may be dropped off at the Food Pantry during its hours of operation.

The Food Pantry, originally about the size of a walk-in closet and containing only non-perishable food items, is now more than 2200 square feet and houses 1 walk-in freezer, 1 walk-in refrigerator, 2 reach-in freezers, 2 reach-in refrigerators and aisles of shelves with non-perishable food items.
The Orland Township Food Pantry supplies food to low income residents who need immediate assistance. In order to qualify, individuals must provide proof of residency and complete an application, which is available at the Township office. Please click here to view the Food Pantry’s income guidelines. Once the application process is complete, the qualified resident leaves the Food Pantry with bags of non-perishable items, frozen and refrigerated food and bakery goods.
Families must show proof of residency and ID. Eligible families may pick up food boxes up to twelve (12) times in a calendar year at the First Lutheran Church Hall in Orland.
Christmas Food Basket. Boxes are prepared for needy families that sign up in advance around the middle of November. Boxes include a ham, potatoes, oranges and canned and packaged food that can be used to prepare a holiday family meal. Read More.
