Gifts of cash made to the UC Regents and the UC Berkeley Foundation are equally tax-deductible and are used for the purposes specified by the donor. Download a giving form to fill out and mail in. Wire transfers are used for gifts made from both within and outside the United States.
ASUC Grants and Scholarships: Student groups who wish to put on programs or events that will benefit the larger Cal community may apply for these funds and some are individual awards, all run by the ASUC Chief Grants Officer. Funding categories may change annually.
Being a Registered Student Organization (RSO) gives your organization official recognition by UC Berkeley while you are on campus. RSO's are separate entities from the university and their programs, events, and activities do not represent the university.
To become certified, a signatory must complete the Signatory Training bCourse. Please note that during the academic year signatory status is added to CalLink profiles at least once/week.

If an RSO does not request funding during the Annual Budget Process, needs more money than they originally anticipated, or is newly formed, funding is still available throughout the academic year through the Senate Contingency Funding.

ASUC Funds. The ASUC is responsible for allocating student activity fee money ($27.50 per student per semester) to student organizations. All RSOs are eligible to apply for these funds. Most of the ASUC funds are allocated to student organizations during the annual spring budgeting process.
Allocated funds are deposited into your accounts. This process takes approximately two to three weeks to complete. If you do not see the allocated funds in your accounts by the Monday following the full senate vote, please follow up with your advisor.
Graduate Assembly funding comes from a portion of the $27.50/semester student activity fee. The Graduate Assembly Funding Committee allocates funds to student organizations that are made up primarily graduate students at the beginning of each semester. Groups are eligible to apply for funding in four categories:

Final allocations are determined after applications and appeals are finalized. To gain access to your space, a member of your organization must attend a student space orientation, usually held in late April or early May.
