The animal shelter facility is also in need of various updates, repairs, and “big ticket” items. If you are feeling very generous or you would like to sponsor a drive for any of these items, the following represent the Animal Shelter’s major current and future needs: 1 Improved floor drains; 2 Concrete or paved driveway; 3 New fencing; 4 Separated outside kennels w/sealed concrete, floor drains, and heated floors/pads; 5 Updated play yards with artificial turf and ground drainage; and 6 Veterinary clinic, including surgical suite; 7 Transport Van
Donations of supplies that are used or consumed on a daily basis at the animal shelter are always appreciated, but the need for certain supplies changes on a daily basis and there is very limited storage space.
Donations of books and audio-visual materials are always welcome. Most needed are hardcovers and paperbacks in good condition, magazines that are no more than 6 months old, books about Michigan, DVDs, CDs, LPs and VHS tapes. We also accept games and puzzles with all pieces and instructions.
Donations are used to supplement taxpayer support that provides additional funding for library resources, programs, and furnishings, as well as circulating materials that benefit our community.
