Feb 12, 2020 · Donate your pets' gently-used items Shelters can always use some extra supplies. Contact your local shelter or rescue group to see if it has a wish list of items it needs, just be sure to clean any supplies before you donate them. Often a shelter's wish list will include: Water and food bowls. Click to read more on it.
One of your first stops to donate should be your local animal shelter. It’s harder for city shelter’s to receive as many donations as bigger, or no-kill shelters, so most of the time they don’t have that many supplies on hand for the pets. Check online to find a shelter near you and ask if they are in need! Friends for Pets Foundation
Our wish list includes: Live traps for TNR program. Dog igloos. Cat traps. Clean bath towels. Leads, leashes, and collars. Gentle leaders, medium and large sizes. Unopened pet food and treats in containers/bags weighing less than 10 pounds (no prescription food) Baby food with meat (for sick cats)
This organization helps prevent cruelty to animals and has many adoption centers around the U.S. that would greatly value your donated pet supplies. Check out the ASPCA website to learn more on how you can help!
An artist at heart, Karla enjoys spending her time doing creative things. When she's not doing theatre/film or drawing/painting, she likes to volunteer at local animal shelters and hopes to open her own no-kill sanctuary in the future.
