The main goal of this organization is to provide immigrants with safe housing and other services to ensure their success in Austin. Casa Marianella is the only homeless shelter in Austin that is dedicated solely to immigrants. To help with their cause, check their adult house wish list and read the donation instructions carefully for how to arrange a drop-off or pick-up.

What is Austin Creative Reuse?

Austin Creative Reuse promotes creativity, education, community, and conservation. Their hope is that reuse, rather than buying new, will become the new norm when it comes to purchasing project materials. Every object has some sort of impact on the environment. Inside Books Project sends free books and other educational materials to prisoners in Texas. This organization is the only books-to-prisoners program in the state of Texas and works very hard to promote reading, literacy, and education among incarcerated individuals of Texas. They have two drop sites in Austin for donating books - just make sure to check their website first for which books they can accept.

What is Austin Pets alive?

Austin Pets Alive! has the goal of eliminating kill shelters. At the beginning of this organization, Austin had a kill-rate of 87%, and now it has a save-rate of 97%. The thrift stores by the same name sell high quality new and gently used items and donate all net proceeds to Austin Pets Alive! to help continue the work of finding wonderful homes for wonderful animals. At both locations, you can drop off clothing, housewares, and other miscellaneous items.

Any Baby Can works closely with families, giving both parents and children encouragement to help reach their full potential. This organization seeks to empower parents to prioritize their families and children, and foster stability and skill development.
