Before you visit

Our thrift shops are located on bases but are separate from our Society offices. Not all Society offices have a thrift shop. Find your nearest Society thrift shop.#N#You need a military ID card to shop in our thrift stores.

Donating items

Donated merchandise helps us offer low-cost, quality items. Generally, donated items can be accepted during regular thrift shop business hours; however, check with your local Society thrift shop to find out if they have a donation drop-box. If they don’t, you may only donate items during regular shop hours.

Due to the varying base guidance and volunteer availability during COVID-19, please contact your local Thrift Shop for current hours and patron eligibility.

Items accompanied by a World War II-era photograph of the person who collected the item, a personal account of any length and/or copies of available service documents are more likely to influence an item’s acceptance; however, every offer is judged on an individual basis.
