WHERE CAN I DONATE MY INSTRUMENT?

Donors will give their instruments directly to the school of your choice. (MPR will not be accepting instruments at our headquarters or network stations.) To donate, submit your information via our Instruments in the Cloud form on the Play It Forward homepage.

WHAT KINDS OF INSTRUMENTS ARE ACCEPTED?

Instruments in the Cloud will match the school with the instrument needed, use the form om the Play it Forward homepage to find the right match for your donation.

WILL I GET A TAX DEDUCTION FOR MY DONATION?

When you submit your information in the form, check the "donation receipt" box and you will receive a receipt. It is your responsibility to determine the value of the instrument. Donations of an instrument with a value up to $5,000 will not need an appraisal.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Instrument donors can choose to donate their instruments to their favorite school or a participating Instruments in the Cloud site that is in close proximity to them. Donors fill out an online form that is sent directly to the music instructor and school administration alerting them that a donation is on it's way.
