Last winter, when the need for coats was greater than ever, more than 1,800 individuals, organizations, schools and group, overcame many obstacles to hold coat drives in their communities. Because of the commitment of One Warm Coat’s Ambassadors, donors, nonprofit partners, and sponsors, more than 260,000 children and adults received free coats.

Step 1: Plan Your Drive

Determine your coat drive dates, drop off location and details. Check out the Online Guide for ideas!

Step 2: Register Your Drive

Register your coat drive and receive access to the many free tools & resources One Warm Coat provides.

Step 3: Promote & Launch

Use the many free tools and resources to spread the word about your drive. Announce your goals with the thermometer tool to launch your drive.

Step 4: Sort, Count & Report

Use the Delivery Stickers to sort and count your coats by type. (All coats should be clean and wearable.) Consider adding a pocket note to each coat. Report your coat totals so your impact can be counted!

Step 5: Celebrate

Share your success on social media and announce to your community using the Celebration Press Release.

Step 6: Deliver

You decide where you will deliver the coats you collect. Use the Nonprofit Locator Map to find an approved partner near you. (One Warm Coat does not pick-up coats, but some of our partners do offer pick-up).
