The "Donated troop upgrade" perk is considered the most powerful perk, since upgrading clans to levels that unlock or upgrade this perk require more additional Clan XP. Also, any troops near max level can become max level if the clan has reached level 10.

In case of clan level 5–9 , if you a donate a troop of say level 4 then it is automatically converted into level 5. In case of clan level 10 or above if you donate a troop say level 4 then it is automatically converted into level 6! This feature is called donation upgrade.

Super Troops can be requested and donated just as regular troops. However, to receive the specific Super Troop you have requested someone in your clan must have the Super Troop active as Super Troops can't be donated with Gems. You can donate Super Troops as reinforcements to Clanmates.

Clans can be upgraded beyond level 10, however currently no new perks are unlocked. The 12/10/16 update changed the Clan XP for each war base to depend on that base's strength.
Perks don't give extra powers in battle, they only make stuff like donation and war loot better. When a Clan is Level 12 it means they are worked a lot and they are probably a lot stronger then your clan and you should probably save your troops on the clan war and just have fun.Aug 17, 2016
How long does it take to level up? You can get a clan to level 5 (requiring 6,700 XP) from scratch within a month. It would take approximately 3-4 months to get a clan to level 10 (requiring 34,000 XP).
